Securing mobile devices for clients - Loans and returns

Please follow the guidance below when using a loaned device:

  • a web browser should be used to access private information on mobile devices
  • passwords should not be saved when prompted
  • before returning the device, users should make every effort to remove any apps that have been added/used that contain private information

Mobile devices need to be prepped for deployment to ensure that all confidential information has been cleared.
As items are returned or issued to clients the following steps need to be taken:

Reset an iPad

Reset a Chromebook

Please always ensure that all information has been properly removed from the device and if needed contact IT for the login credentials.
