Video Meeting with the Polycom Room Equipment

  1. Go to the Skype for Business Online Scheduler (https://sched.lync.com/)
    • You may be asked to login, use your email address and normal SaskAbilities password
  2. Fill in your event name and times and Click Save
    • No other setting changes are required
    • Clicking Save will create an overlay page once it is completed
  3. On the overlay, under the Join Skype Meeting heading, right-click the link and choose Copy Link
    • The link will look similar to this: https://meet.lync.com/saskabilities.ca/USERNAME/ZSNSVX4B
    • The username will be the first half of your email (ex. cekren)
    • If you dismissed the overlay without saving the link, you can click on the left facing arrow next to the New Meeting heading to see a list of all your booked meetings. The link is listed when you click on the meeting name.
  4. In Outlook, create a New Meeting (not a Skype or Teams meeting) and paste the link you copied into the meeting body.
  5. Set your meeting details and invite all participants to the meeting including the rooms corresponding to the Polycom. If you are unsure, contact IT
  6. Send your meeting invite.

The Polycom devices will automatically detect the meeting invite, and provide an option to Join under the calendar button/tab.


Any Teams user will have Skype for Business launch by clicking the link provided in the meeting invite, this needs to be done from outside of the Provincial Server. Email can be accessed from Webmail (https://outlook.office.com).
